Follow the steps below to learn how to install recessed lighting:
 
1:36 Tape templates on ceiling to lay out lights
1:48 Turn off power
1:55 Use stud finder to locate & mark ceiling joist
2:04 Check if you have 8 inches of clearance to install lights
2:39 Cut holes in ceiling
2:59 Rough-in wiring
3:13 Run cable into light box and clamp it
3:31 Mount light
3:51 Push clips up to secure light in place
3:57 Add trim for light
4:30 Turn on power and test
